Ariatech Selected for Woosu Precision’s Smart Factory Advancement Project, Launches AI-Based Intelligent Robotic Production Forecasting System

Ariatech Co., Ltd. has been selected as the lead supplier (consortium representative) for the Ministry of SMEs and Startups’ Advanced Smart Factory Support Program and will carry out the smart factory advancement project for Woosu Precision Co., Ltd. Following the final agreement on the project plan in February 2026, both companies have officially commenced implementation.

Woosu Precision Co., Ltd., the adopting company, is a specialized automotive parts manufacturer supplying transmission and reduction gear components to major customers including Hyundai Transys, Hyundai Motor Company, Kia Corporation, and Hyundai Wia. With approximately KRW 67 billion in sales in 2025, the company is recognized as a strong player in the automotive parts industry. In particular, sales of electric vehicle (EV) reduction gear components have continued to grow steadily.

 

Project Overview

The primary objective of this project is to transform Woosu Precision’s smart factory from a monitoring-centered operation into an intelligent, prediction-driven manufacturing environment.

Currently, the company operates at the “Intermediate Level 1” stage, where production performance and equipment data are collected through MES (Manufacturing Execution System) and automated robotics. Through this project, Woosu Precision aims to advance to “Intermediate Level 2,” enabling data-driven analysis and predictive decision-making capabilities.

Key Implementation Areas

Ariatech will develop an Intelligent Robotic Production Forecasting System for Woosu Precision’s core transmission component production lines. Key implementation areas include:

  • Production Performance and OEE Monitoring
    Integration and analysis of automated robot data through MES, with enhanced Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) indicators and real-time visualization.
  • Integrated Robot Data Analytics
    Real-time collection and analysis of robot data from the Parking Sprag Assembly Line and Parking Rod Welding Line. The system will detect abnormal conditions and enable immediate response through remote control capabilities.
  • AI-Powered Decision Support System
    Application of artificial intelligence to equipment operation data to build predictive models that estimate production target completion times (ETA) and forecast the probability of achieving production goals.

Through these capabilities, production management decisions that have traditionally relied on operator experience will be transformed into data-driven decision-making processes, enabling proactive responses to equipment performance degradation and production delays.

Expected Outcomes

The project aims to increase hourly production output and improve equipment utilization rates on the Parking Rod Welding Line. Expected benefits include enhanced productivity, reduced defect rates leading to improved financial performance, and greater operational efficiency through the reduction of manual administrative tasks.. 

 

An Ariatech representative stated,

Through this initiative, we aim to deliver tangible productivity improvements in automotive parts manufacturing environments and expand this intelligent smart factory model to similar manufacturing sites in the future.”
Ariatech also plans to provide continuous maintenance and support services following the completion of the project.
