LG Uplus Collaborates with Korean SMEs to Develop an Open API Platform

LG Uplus announced on the 20th that it has co-developed a “Network Open API (Application Programming Interface) Platform” with telecommunications equipment manufacturer Ariatech.


A network open API is a technology that standardizes network functions owned by telecom operators, enabling external developers and enterprises to access and utilize them. Major telecommunications providers around the world are actively pursuing the commercialization of network open API technologies.


LG Uplus’s network open API platform provides APIs that enhance financial and personal data security—such as device number authentication, SIM change information, and device location, status, and change data—as well as a “QoD” feature that allows users to improve network quality at desired times.
